Flimwell Village Hall

Over the last sixty years, Flimwell has lost its school (which was bombed in W.W.II), its Shop/Post Office (after three raids) and its Youth Club which also doubled as a local hall. This has resulted in a desperate need for a new `heart' to the village. The site of `Corner Farm', at the crossroads is currently on offer to the community and has been identified as a site for a village hall by the planning department at Rother District Council. SEEDA, local businesses, the Parish Council and local fund raisers have already committed money towards the hall, but further large grants will be needed. To be successful, it is essential that grant applications prove the commitment of the local community.

There is now a new survey on this subject - your views are essential so follow this link and complete the online survey as soon as possible.
